Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How does the process work?

A: We work together to tackle your organizing project. In the free phone consultation, we see if we are a good match. Our first meeting (usually 2-3 hours) gets right down to business. We walk-through the areas you want transformed to see how all the pieces of the puzzle fit, what is working or not working, and where to start. Then we will get started on the organizing–whether that means physically moving things or creating a master plan. At the end of the first appointment, we will set up goals, accountability check-ins, and additional appointments.

Q: How long will it take?

A: It depends on how many objects are involved, how quickly decisions are made, and how much physical and mental energy you have available. The situation didn’t happen overnight and it won’t change overnight either. Rest assured, my goal is to get you to your end point as quickly and cost-effectively as possible.

Q: Is my house the worst you’ve ever seen?

A: Probably not, and even if it were, it doesn’t matter because I am not there to be judgmental. I evaluate a space much like a camera lens would: I take in the environment enough to capture information. We use that information to create the home you are yearning for. I am there to support you! Our work is confidential.

Q: Are you like a house cleaner?

A: While some organizers also clean homes, my work as a professional organizer and life coach can be compared to a personal fitness trainer or an occupational therapist. These professions require specific subject matter knowledge as well as information on related conditions. It’s not just that my friends have said, “You’re good at organizing.” I’ve invested 4 years into additional certification as a Certified Professional Organizer specializing in Chronic Disorganization and as a Certified Organizer Coach. I’m expert in ADHD, Hoarding, Life Development, Goal-Setting, and more. I do this work to help people transform their lives in addition to their spaces.

Q: Will you make me throw away my stuff?

A: You are the one who decides what stays and what goes. I am there to support your process.
